OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Nikki Nice has won unanimous approval by the full Senate for legislation to better help families after the loss of a child due to miscarriage or stillbirth.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Regina Goodwin has received Senate approval for a bill to update the stipend school districts can opt to provide to school board members for attending board meetings. Under the provisions of Senate Bill 63, the stipend, which has not been updated since 1972, would be raised from $25 up to $190 per meeting for up to four meetings each month.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Carri Hicks has won unanimous Senate approval for a measure aimed at unsolved violent crimes throughout the state. Hicks filed Senate Bill 1636 after holding an in-depth interim study on cold cases in Oklahoma, which looked at what other states have done to strengthen their responses to unsolved crimes.
