Meagan Burke, an Oklahoma City police officer killed in an on-duty, head-on crash with an impaired driver on I-44 on Sept. 29, 2022. Senate Bill 1584, naming a bridge in Burke’s memory, was approved by the Senate Aeronautics and Transportation Committee on Tuesday.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. David Bullard, R-Durant, released the following statement after the Senate approved eliminating the state portion of the grocery tax Thursday.
OKLAHOMA CITY – On Thursday, the Senate voted to eliminate the 4.5 percent state sales tax on groceries. The bill had already passed the House. It now heads to the Governor’s desk.
