Senator Seifried Engages with Trump Administration Leaders, VP Vance During Washington Visit

Sen. Ally Seifried, R-Claremore, was among a distinguished group of Oklahoma lawmakers who met with Vice President J.D. Vance at Joint Base Andrews on Wednesday, Sept. 24, as part of a trip to Washington, D.C., that included taking part in the White House State Leadership Conference.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Ally Seifried, R-Claremore, was in Washington, D.C., this week to meet with senior Trump administration officials and key members of the president’s Cabinet.

Seifried and other Republican members of the Oklahoma Legislature participated in the White House State Leadership Conference to discuss how state leaders can work together with the Trump Administration to carry out the president’s America First agenda.

Seifried was also among a distinguished group of Oklahoma lawmakers in critical leadership roles who were invited to meet with Vice President J.D. Vance at Joint Base Andrews, a strategic military base in Maryland.

“What’s good for Oklahoma is good for America, and the Trump administration clearly understands that,” Seifried said. “I was honored to participate in the White House State Leadership Conference as we discussed building our nation’s energy sector, growing the economy and securing our borders. President Trump’s America First agenda is exactly what this country needs, and I’m proud to help bring his vision to life here in Oklahoma and Senate District 2.”

At the White House conference, speakers included Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem; Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins; Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Doug Collins; Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Scott Turner; Small Business Administration Deputy Director Bill Briggs; representatives from the White House Domestic Policy Council and U.S. Sen. Markwayne Mullin.

“It was great to hear from so many Trump administration leaders, including Vice President Vance, who are working to make America great again,” Seifried said. “Secretary Noem emphasized the ongoing threat from China and shared how DHS is improving the travel experience through hospitality training for TSA employees. I also appreciated Secretary Turner’s reminder that when he thinks of Oklahoma, he thinks of endurance and excellence — values that truly define our state.”

The State Leadership Conference was organized by the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs to foster communication and collaboration between state and federal leaders. The event presented an opportunity for Seifried and other lawmakers to discuss shared policy priorities and how to advance a unified vision for improving Oklahoma and the country.
