OKLAHOMA CITY— Senator Brenda Stanley, R-Midwest City, was recently named the 2025 Legislator of the Year by the Oklahoma Dental Hygienists’ Association.
Stanley, who serves as Vice Chair of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee, has long been an advocate for improving health outcomes and offering additional support to health professionals, including those in the dental hygiene profession.
“I am deeply honored to be recognized as Legislator of the Year by the Oklahoma Dental Hygienists’ Association,” Stanley said. “Dental hygienists play a vital role in expanding access to oral health care across our state, and I am proud that my work at the Capitol has helped advance their mission and strengthen oral health care for Oklahomans.”
Stanley expressed her strong support for dental hygienists during OKDHA’s visit to the Capitol earlier this year, where she engaged in key discussions about improving access to care, licensing, and license portability.
“I look forward to continuing collaboration with dental hygienists across Oklahoma to expand access to quality oral health care. By addressing the challenges they face and supporting their important work, we can help more Oklahomans maintain healthy smiles for years to come,” Stanley added.
