OKLAHOMA CITY – Senate and House Democrats continue inviting the public to their Capitol Conversations series this coming Monday, April 27 at 5:30 p.m., in room 535 of the state Capitol. Senate Democratic Leader Julia Kirt said people of all ages and political interests are welcome to attend.
“We believe in open and transparent government. These events give Oklahomans a chance to hear directly from elected members about the work they are doing on behalf of the public and give people from across the state an opportunity to share their concerns,” said Kirt, D-Oklahoma City. “Regular people’s voices need to be heard at the Capitol where decisions are being made, and we encourage folks to be a part of this conversation.”
Members of the public will be invited to sign up to comment when they arrive. The first 30 people who sign up will be given two minutes each to speak, and groups are encouraged to select a few members to speak on their behalf. An American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter will be present.
This is the third Capitol Conversation of 2026 and builds on the well-attended series started in early 2025.
Those who would like to submit comments or like more information about this Capitol Conversation can email Julia.Kirt@oksenate.gov or call 405-521-5636.
