INFORMATION SYSTEMS DIVISION

The mission of the Information Systems Division is to provide information and systems services to the Senators and staff; to operate and maintain hardware and software; and to ensure the effective operation of the Senate.

The Senate operates a personal computer network used by the members, staff, and executive assistants to support the analytical, drafting, research, record-keeping and accounting needs of the Senate. The Senate network is connected to the Oklahoma Legislative Information System (OLIS). OLIS was created by the Legislature to provide information processing and other computer services to the Senate and House of Representatives. The system is jointly owned by the Senate and House of Representatives and is operated by the Legislative Service Bureau.
