SB 273
(Horner/Boyd (Betty)): Enables the Oklahoma State Regents
for Higher Education (OSRHE) to award the Oklahoma Higher
Learning Access Program (OHLAP) benefits for post-secondary
units taken more than five years after the students first
semester of enrollment, but no more than five consecutive
years in hardship circumstances. Gives OSRHE the authority
to establish credit hour limits to which OHLAP benefits
apply. Grants OSRHE the authority to process student
agreements, verify compliance with the agreements and
certify a students' financial qualifications.
HB 1921
(Steidley/Williams): Authorizes the Oklahoma State Regents
for Higher Educaton to increase general enrollment fees for
institutions of higher education. The Legislature states
intent that the State Regents conduct a study of
implementing a four-year fixed rate of tuition effective for
students entering college in the fall 1998
semester.
