(Taylor/Rice): Exempts the producers of nursery stock from Sections
951 through 956 of Title 18 of the Oklahoma Statutes which relate to
corporations engaged in farming and ranching operations. Effective 11-1-00.

(Kerr/Covey): Creates the Task Force on the Economic Status of Agriculture
to develop recommendations relating to the economic status of agriculture,
to conduct a comprehensive study of the erosion of farm income and to
determine what actions on the state level could be taken to effect improvement.

(Muegge/Calvey): Authorizes the Oklahoma Agriculture Mediation Program
to develop and implement a plan to increase awareness of the program
to producers of agricultural products and agricultural lenders. Effective
5-24-00
HB 2306(1)
(Reese/Rabon): Defines forestry activity as any activity associated
with the reforesting, growing, managing, protecting and harvesting of
timber, wood and forest products. Makes forestry an activity that is
not a nuisance. Effective 6-5-00.
HB 2567(1)
(Braddock/Kerr): Makes the Boll weevil organization a state agency.
Requires that every person who is a cotton grower in this state be subject
to the provisions of the Boll Weevil Eradication Act. Requires cotton
gins to furnish monthly reports before the tenth of each month regarding
assessments collected, pay the assessments and furnish the board of
the Boll Weevil Organization all information requested to ensure the
collection of the assessments for each grower. Provides for administrative
penalties. Requires promulgation of rules for administrative penalties.
Authorizes seasonal employees for projects. Effective 5-24-00.
