Summary of Actions Disability Insurance SB 108 (Robinson/Cox): Section 49 of this bill reduces the eligibility period for employees to draw benefits under the Disability Insurance Program from six months of employment to one month of employment. It also eliminates the preexisting condition limitation for disability insurance benefits. Effective November 1, 2000. Flexible Benefit Allowance SB 901 (Haney/Settle): This bill increases the flexible benefit allowance for education support personnel from $150.42 to $170.24 per month. Effective July 1, 2000. The fiscal year 2001 cost will be $5,921,164.00. Pilot Disease Program SB 1396 (Monson/Askins): This bill requires the State and Education Employees Group Insurance Board to implement a pilot disease management program. The purpose of this program is to reduce cost in the three most costly disease categories.
