President Pro Tempore Bingman Comments on the Killing of Osama bin Laden

Today the Oklahoma Senate unanimously passed Senate Resolution 23, commending the United States Military, U.S. intelligence operations, President Bush and President Obama for the successful efforts of the War on Terror and in the Pakistan operation last night that ended the life of terrorist Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.

President Pro Tempore Brian Bingman, R-Sapulpa, issued the following statement regarding the United States Military operation that killed bin Laden:

“America has once again triumphed over evil. Despite the elusive nature of bin Laden’s constant flight to hide from danger, the resolve to bring him to justice from our intelligence community and our military men and women was greater. I want to congratulate the troops and our intelligence community for bringing this effort to a successful end. President Bush and President Obama also deserve a great deal of praise for presiding over the many successes of the War on Terror. While we have a long way to go before the War on Terror is over, bin Laden’s death is a tremendous victory in this continued fight.”
