about the Governor's State of the State Address.
Senate Democratic Leader Ready to Help
Governor Move Agenda Forward
Agrees the State Must Continue Building the Foundation to
a Brighter Future
“Governor Henry laid
out a bold vision for Oklahoma today in his “State of the
State” address and the Senate Democratic caucus stands ready
to work with the Governor to continue moving Oklahoma forward.
“Health care is an issue our caucus is extremely passionate
about and we have been at the forefront of this discussion of
making access to affordable health care a greater reality for
more Oklahoma families.
“In particular, we are pleased Governor Henry urged the
Oklahoma Legislature to end insurance discrimination against families
whose children suffer from Autism. Senate Democrats, and the families
of these Autistic children have fought hard for this legislation
and we will do whatever it takes to make “Nick’s Law”
a reality this session.
“As we begin this legislative session, like Governor Henry,
we are hopeful partisan politics will be checked at the door in
favor of building a better Oklahoma in which to live, work and
raise a family.”
