Senate to
Offer Podcasts
As part of a continued
effort to better inform the public
through technology, members of the
Oklahoma State Senate will soon
be making podcasts available on
the Senate’s official website.
The podcasts will include information
on individual members’ legislation
as well as other events occurring
at the State Capitol or within their
districts. The audio files will
be posted in both mp3 and wav formats,
and both will be CD quality.
The Senate remains the only entity
in state government to offer webcasts
featuring live video and audio of
committee meetings as well as gavel
to gavel coverage of the full Senate.
The Senate was also the first entity
in state government to make wi-fi
available throughout Senate offices,
as well as the chamber, rotunda,
committee and press rooms. The service
is available to members of the public
visiting the State Capitol as well
as to members of the media.
The Senate will begin posting podcasts
on the website within the coming
days. To access these, go to www.oksenate.gov
and follow the “News”
link to the podcast page.
