Senate Democratic Leaders Comment on Henry’s
Plan to
Invest in Bio-Fuels Project in Ardmore
Statement by Senate President Pro Tempore Mike
Morgan
“The history of Oklahoma’s energy industry is filled
with innovation and imagination. For nearly a century, Oklahomans
have led the world in new technologies in energy exploration and
production. In a changing and volatile world is important for Oklahoma
to invest in the development of new forms of energy, including bio-fuels.
I applaud the Governor for coming forward with a bold initiative
to keep Oklahoma among the world leaders in energy.”
Statement by Senate Co-Appropriations Chairman Johnnie
Crutchfield
“Investing in the development of new energy technologies
is important not only for Oklahoma, but for America and our planet.
The legislature and Oklahoma State University made a sizeable investment
in the Noble Foundation’s work last session. I look forward
to working with the governor to further support the foundation’s
research and development of alternative fuels.”
