Democratic Author of Pro Life Legislation Says Senate Republicans
Are Suffering From a Memory Lapse

“Senate Republicans are so focused on the next election that they have completely forgotten about the most significant pro-life legislation that was written and passed by Senate Democrats under the direction of the Democratic Leadership in the State Senate and signed into law by Democratic Governor Brad Henry last legislative session.
“When the Democratic controlled Oklahoma State Senate overwhelmingly approved the most significant pro life bill that has passed out of the Oklahoma Legislature in 30 years, Republican Senator James Williamson said on the Senate floor during debate that the bill would protect Oklahoma women and save lives.”

Note to Editor: Senator Lawler is responding to a press release from Senate Republicans who alluded that pro-life legislation is not a priority for Senate Democrats.
