Senator Coffee: Oklahoma Needs a ‘Majority That
Matters’ in State Senate
State Senate Republican Floor Leader Glenn
Coffee, R-Oklahoma City, made the following statement
in reaction to the Senate Democrats’ proposed legislative
agenda.
“The proposals that Senate Democrats
have put forward during the past two weeks are weak and
reactionary. The Senate Democrats are scrambling to propose
quick fixes to problems that have been created by their
own failed policies,” Coffee stated.
“In the 21st- Century, Oklahoma needs
new leadership with the vision and work ethic to make
our state a national leader in the effort to keep and
attract good people, great jobs, and strong businesses.
Senate Democrats have been the State Senate’s majority
party for one-hundred years, and they have failed to provide
the leadership needed to move Oklahoma forward. The people
of Oklahoma deserve a majority that matters in the Oklahoma
State Senate,” Coffee stated.
