“Governor Henry’s proposal does more than just continue the advancements we made last year when we fully funded health insurance premiums for our teachers and agreed to increase their salaries to the regional average.

“The ACE Initiative provides a bold new blueprint for creating a public school system in Oklahoma that will make a better tomorrow for our children by improving the mathematics abilities of students; ensuring that more Oklahomans are prepared for college and can afford it; and by making students and educators more accountable for their performance.

“It provides easier access to student information for parents and provides for a mechanism so that parents and educators can be partners in a plan of correction and remediation.”
