Senate Republican Leader Glenn Coffee, R-Oklahoma City, made the following statement about Gov. Brad Henry’s prescription drug proposal.

“Senate Republicans will study the details of Gov. Henry’s plan, and we are to open to considering the merits of these interesting ideas. However, we feel that these proposals should in no way be considered a substitute for the significant healthcare and lawsuit reforms that are needed to reign in the exploding cost of healthcare and insurance in the State of Oklahoma. We look forward to working with Gov. Henry to find solutions that will help lower healthcare costs for all Oklahomans.”
