Statement by Senator Stratton Taylor, Senate President Pro Tempore

"It's my hope that we can work out an agreement with Governor Keating that will deliver meaningful tag reform to Oklahoma motorists. Despite all the rhetoric we've heard on this issue, I really don't think we're that far apart."

"I am intrigued by Rep. Ferguson's suggestion that a statewide vote may be the best way to resolve this issue. Given his standing as a former House minority leader who's viewed as one of the senior statesmen of his party, his analysis may give some insight into the approach that a lot of his members may be favoring. I don't want to try to read too much into his analysis, but it's certainly food for thought. "
