"I obviously want to be sensitive to the concerns of members of the Oklahoma County delegation and their constituents. They've raised a serious issue and their request deserves consideration.

"I think a lot of people share their concern about the potential cost of the trial, especially in regard to the legal fees we'll have to pay for Mr. Nichols. I doubt taxpayers are very excited about the prospect of writing a $5 million dollar check to Terry Nichols' lawyer."
