Funding sources utilized during the 1997 session include: $4.43 billion in revenue identified by the State Board of Equalization as available for appropriation; $52.8 million appropriated from the Constitutional Reserve Fund "Rainy Day"; and $22 million from the identification of additional revenue sources or legislative changes that increased available revenues. The $22 million "other" funds include $9.4 million in cash in the HB 1017 revolving fund, $8.3 million in interest earnings from bond accounts and $4.5 million in increased Judicial Fund appropriations, made possible by a change in the way the Judicial Retirement System is funded (SB 472).
