The intent of SB 175, Section 5, was to transfer $541,000 from 1994 Series B bond interest into the Capital Improvement Revolving Fund. A scrivener's error in the bill resulted in a potential transfer of monies from a different bond fund. The governor vetoed Section 5 to prevent this transfer.
The governor vetoed SB 461, which created a new housing assistance program. The Legislature had provided $500,000 to the Department of Commerce for capitalizing the housing program in SB 103, which was signed into law. After the veto of SB 461, the Legislature removed the $500,000 appropriation to ODOC in HB 1884.
