The Legislature appropriated
a total of $52.8 million from the Constitutional Reserve
"Rainy Day" Fund, including the following:
- $1.18 million for the
state's annual payment to the U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers for the Sardis Reservoir project.
- $1.0 million for
continued implementation of a statewide weather
modification project to address drought.
- $650,000 to the District
Attorneys Council for costs of prosecuting individuals
involved in the bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in
Oklahoma City.
- $50 million for highway
projects in the $1.01 billion road plan enacted in HB
1629 and HB 1881 (see "Roads"). HB 1629 states
legislative intent to appropriate $155 million more in
Rainy Day funds for roads over the next three
years.
