Judy Eason McIntyre is a native Oklahoman from Tulsa. She attended
and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa. She
received a Bachelor’s and Master of Science Degree in Social
Work from the University of Oklahoma.
Judy Eason McIntyre was elected to
the Oklahoma State Senate District 11 in 2004. She also was elected
and served in the House of Representatives for District 73 in the
49th Legislature for 2002-2004. She was the first freshman appointed
to the Speaker’s Leadership Team in the House of Representatives.
In 2002, she was one of sixteen black women from twelve states selected
as a Fellow for the NOBEL/Women (National Organization of Black
Elected Legislators/Women) for the NOBEL/Women CAWP (Center for
American Women and Politics/Eagleton Institute of Politics, Rutgers
University) Leadership Institute.
She retired from the Department of
Human Services, Child Welfare Division after 31 years. She also
served on the Tulsa Public School Board for 16 years serving as
President for two years.
She holds memberships in the following
organizations: Member, Vernon AME Church; Chair of the Tulsa
County Democrat Lunch Club; 1921 Race Riot Design Committee;
the Greenwood Re-Development Authority; the NAACP; CWA (Communication
Workers of America) Local #6086; Oklahoma Humanities Council
Board of Trustees; and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
