Sen. Daniels has worked as a volunteer
in her adopted hometown of Bartlesville since 1988. She currently
serves on the boards of the Boys & Girls Club of Bartlesville,
Arvest Bank Bartlesville, Bluestem Medical Foundation, Leadership
Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs and
is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association.
She is a former Mayor of Bartlesville and served eight years on
the City Council. During her council tenure Daniels focused on long-term
water supply, downtown redevelopment, park and recreation improvements
and historic preservation projects.
Daniels has served as president of The Boys & Girls Club of
Bartlesville, Bartlesville Visitors Inc., Service League of Bartlesville,
YWCA and public school organizations as a parent volunteer. She
has served on the boards of the Bartlesville Regional Chamber of
Commerce and Samaritan Counseling and Growth Center and is a graduate
of Leadership Bartlesville.
Sen. Daniels is a former member of the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation
Commission and the Oklahoma Centennial Commemoration Commission.
She participated in the public phase of the preparation of the 2012
State Water Plan.
Daniels was named a Boys & Girls Clubs “Champion for
Youth” for the Southwest Region in 2014. She is a former Bartlesville
Civitan “Citizen of the Year” and recipient of the “Ernie
McAnaw Women’s Leadership Award” and “Tom Shoemake
Leadership Award” from the Bartlesville Regional Chamber of
Sen. Daniels was born and raised in Oklahoma City where she graduated
from Northwest Classen High School. She is a graduate of the University
of Oklahoma and entered law school there. She married husband Charlie
in 1977 and moved to Bartlesville. She completed her law degree
at the University of Tulsa. The Daniels lived in London for several
years. Upon returning to Bartlesville with two young sons, she continued
to stay at home to raise their children. Son Hunter lives in Grand
Junction, Colorado. Son Fletcher and wife Amanda reside in Norman.
The Daniels are members of Bartlesville First United Methodist Church.
